Özet

The Pabon Lasso Method is widely used in measuring the bed utilization performance of hospitals. In this study, It was evaluated that bed utilization performance of AI, AII and B group hospitals with general hospital status affiliated to the Ministry of Health in 2018-2021 by Pabon Lasso Method. The average bed turnover ratio of 257 hospitals within the scope of the research from 2018 to 2021 respectively was 61.9, 61.1, 40.1 and 43.6, ; bed occupancy rates 67.7, 67.4, 52.5 and 51.2; the average length stay are 4.1, 4.3, 5.0 and 4.7. It has been determined that 37% of AI group hospitals were nonproductive, 38% were productive; 47% of AII group hospitals are nonproductive, 36% are productive; 35% of the B group hospitals were nonproductive and 32% are productive. It has been determined that AI group training and research hospitals, 30% are nonproductive and 35% are in productive region; AI group city hospitals, 43% are nonproductive and 18% are in productive region; AII group general hospitals 43% are nonproductive, 33% are in productive region; AII group city hospitals 6% are nonproductive and 81% are in productive regions. While the performance of general hospitals was the best in 2018, the year in which it was the worst was 2020. It is thought that the low performance in 2020 is due to the heavy effects of the pandemic and the change in the current demand structure.
