In this study, total of 452 buffaloes were randomly sampled from 8 provinces in which intensive buffaloes breeding takes places. In the obtained samples, BVD, BHV1 and RPV specific antibodies and BVD antigen existence was researched. All the blood samples were controlled for BVD antige with PLA test are found to be negative. BVDV specific antibodies are found at 257 (56.8%) samples varying at 1/5 and 1/640 titers and BHV-1 specific antibodies are found at 198 samples (43.8%) varying at 1/1 and 1/32 titers as a result of microneutralisation test. In the microneutralisation test used for the detection of Rinderpest specific antibodies, 186 (41.1%) samples have been found seropositive. However, considering the fact that, these antibodies could be PPR, high sensitive and specific test C-ELISA have been applied for RPV and PPR. As a result, out of 401 tested samples, 151 (37.6%) samples have been found RPV seropositive probably related to vaccine and 40 (9.9%) buffaloes had been detected PPR seropositive. As a result, the existence of BVD, 1BR and PPR infections and information about their ratio in buffaloes have been found out for the first time in Turkey.
