Coarctation of the aorta is an obstructive congenital anomaly of the aortic lumen, which accounts for 5-7% of congenital heart diseases. Recently, because of its fewer complications and side effects, the use of three-dimensional computed tomography (CT) angiography has become an important method for the diagnosis of aortic coarctation in very sick patients with no opportunity for balloon angioplasty. Here, we present two newborns with aortic coarctation diagnosed by CT angiography, and we review the recent literature in newborns.
