Test-retest reliability of the Total Score of GIST-B was found to he 0.84 and the construct validity obtained from the correlation of the test with the digit span subtests of WAIS was in the range of 0.67 - 0.84. The results substantiated the general finding about the STM capacity; the basic 7+2 rule. However the scores varied with age and education. The 2X2 Anova revealed a significant main effect of age and sex for the Total Score. The 2X2X2 Anova revealed a significant main effect of age and also education for the Total Score.
