Twelve specimens of Clethrionomys glareolus (Schreber, 1780) collected from Abant (Bolu), Kandira (Kocaeli) and Uludaǧ (Bursa) are compared with respect to karyotype and baculum aspects. The diploid chromosome number of C. glareolus was 2n=56, the number of autosomal arms was NFa=56, the total number of chromosome arms was NF = 60, the X chromosome was a large acrocentric, and the Y chromosome was metacentric. One pair of autosomes was small metacentric and the remainders were acrocentric.
