Özet

AIM: This research has been carried out as descriptively to investigate the aim of determining mental problems of nursing students in a School of Health. METHOD: The universe of this descriptive research included of 468 nursing students at School of Health. All of the students were wanted to take part in our study, but 295 students accepted to take part in the questionnarie. The data collection tools used included a questionnaire to determine the students' descriptive characteristics and the SCL-90-R to determine the to evaluate mental symptoms of the students. In the analysis of the data, percentage, t test, Mann Whitney U test, Kruskall Wallis test and variance analysis were used. RESULTS: Students' mental symptom level point average is 0.90±0.66. There were significant difference statistically between class conditions and mental symptom level point average of the students (p<0.05). There were no significant difference statistically between genders and mental symptom level point average of the students (p>0.05). CONCLUSION: Psychiatric symptom level point average of the students was determined within normal limits.
