Özet

In order to combat irregular immigration more effectively, Turkey and European Union ("EU") signed the "Agreement between Republic of Turkey and the European Union on the Readmission of Persons Residing without Authorisation" ("RA") in 16 December 2013 and RA entered into force in 1 October 2014. In sum, RA determines the conditions, essentials and procedure related to the readmission or transit of nationals, third country nationals and stateless persons who are irregular migrants in relation to Turkey or EU Member States. This paper, hence, analyses RA, which is a new source of the legal order of the EU and its Member States on the one hand, and Turkey on the other hand, from a legal point of view.
