Özet

Einkorn (Triticum monococcum) and emmer (Triticum dicoccum) wheats are close relatives and important genitors of the same species as modern wheat. These species are very important for maintaining and increasing the resistance of modern varieties against increasing stress factors. Environmental factors, geographic location and time may have an impact on the genetic structure and evolution of chromosomes. Therefore, the structure of chromosomes, which are grown in Turkey einkorm and emmer's karyotype analysis was carried out to investigate. Chromosome examinations used root tip cells, pre-fixation with 1-Bromonaphthalene and stained with feulgen. According to the obtained results, the chromosome number of einkorn was 2n = 14 and the karyotype formula was 12 m +2 sin. The haploid chromosome length of einkorn was 41.321 mu and the average chromosome length was 5.903 mu. Emmer has 2n = 28 chromosomes and 20 in + 6 sin 2 st karyotype formula. The haploid chromosome length of emmer was calculated to be 80.343 mu and the mean chromosome length was 5.739 mu. Asymmetry analysis revealed that emmer and einkom were more asymmetric according to intrachromosomal asymmetry index and interchromosomal asymmetry index, respectively.
