Abstract

Chrysomya megacephala (Fabricius, 1794) is a pest calliphorid fly of medical and forensic importance. In this study, we report the first record of Chrysomya megacephala in Algeria, North Africa. In addition, other calliphorid species which are commonly present in Algeria are listed along with their occurrence locations.
