I am a Professor of Accounting with over 20 years of academic experience, specializing in financial accounting, corporate reporting, and sustainability disclosures. I have published more than 50 peer-reviewed articles and five books, and I currently serve as Editor-in-Chief of the Accounting and Taxation Studies journal.
Throughout my career, I have taught undergraduate and graduate courses in financial accounting, reporting standards, and sustainability, and have supervised numerous doctoral and master's theses. I am passionate about linking sustainability reporting to financial performance and integrating emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence into accounting education.
I have extensive international experience, having been a visiting Ph.D. scholar at New York University and currently a postdoctoral researcher at NYU Stern School of Business, where I collaborate on research projects exploring the intersection of sustainability performance and financial outcomes. With an active network in the United States and deep academic roots at Ankara University, I bridge diverse academic environments and cultures. This combination allows me to contribute to inclusive and globally connected educational spaces.
Beyond academia, I focus on developing future-ready accountants who are equipped with critical thinking, ethical decision-making, and an awareness of global sustainability challenges.
