Dirk Boris Kestel is a German flutist, university lecturer, and cultural manager with extensive international experience in performance, higher education, and arts management. Since 2015, he has been teaching flute and chamber music at Ankara University State Conservatory, where he also serves as the departmental Erasmus+ coordinator and has contributed to the development of undergraduate and graduate curricula.

Throughout his career, he has combined artistic practice with educational, organizational, and entrepreneurial responsibilities. In addition to his work as a performer and teacher, he has managed cultural projects, organized international festivals and concerts, developed academic curricula, and held executive positions in the wellness and cosmetics industries.

His artistic and academic interests focus on historical performance practice, chamber music, flute pedagogy, curriculum development, and the integration of artistic practice with innovative research methods. His current work increasingly explores the relationship between music, artificial intelligence, and artistic creativity.
