Res. Asst. PhD KAMİL ÇALIŞKAN

He was born in 1992 in Ankara. He completed his secondary education at Ankara Science High School in 2010. In the same year, he ranked second nationwide in Türkiye in the quantitative–equal-weight categories of the national university entrance examination and was consequently admitted to the Faculty of Law at Bilkent University. He graduated in 2014 with second-highest honours, also completing a minor programme in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at Bilkent University. In parallel with his legal studies, he graduated with first rank from the Theology Undergraduate Completion (İLİTAM) Programme of the Faculty of Divinity at Ankara University.

In 2016, he completed the memorisation of the Qur’an at the Amasya Büyük Ağa Qur’an Course under the Presidency of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye. He subsequently pursued postgraduate studies in Islamic Law at Ankara University, completing both his master’s and doctoral degrees in the same department. He continues his academic career as a researcher and lecturer in the Department of Islamic Law at Ankara University.
