Born
in 1990 in Ankara, Türkiye, he completed primary school at TED Ankara College
Foundation Private Primary School and high school at Ankara Atatürk Anatolian
High School. In 2007, he graduated from Gazi University Faculty of Medicine in
2013 with the title of Doctor of Medicine. In the same year, he started his
speciality training in medicine at Çukurova University Faculty of Medicine,
Department of Public Health and became a Public Health Specialist in 2018. He
graduated from Ankara University Institute of Health Sciences Master's
Programme in Epidemiology in June 2025 and from the Ministry of Health Türkiye
Field Epidemiology Training Programme in July 2025.
Between
2014-2018, he worked as an Assistant Physician at the Department of Public
Health, Faculty of Medicine, Çukurova University. Between 2018-2021, he worked
as a Public Health Specialist and Head of Community Health Centre at Kastamonu
Central Community Health Centre. He won the interview held by the Ministry of
Health and started the Field Epidemiology Certified Training Programme in
Turkey within the General Directorate of Public Health in 2021. During the
training, he conducted epidemic investigation studies in various regions. In
August 2022, due to the floods caused by monsoon rains, he was assigned in
Pakistan to carry out planning activities for public health services to be
provided in this country. In February 2023, he participated in the development
of infectious disease surveillance following the earthquakes centred in
Kahramanmaraş province and coordinated these activities in Kahramanmaraş and
Malatya. In September 2023, due to the flood disaster in Libya, he was assigned
to Libya to carry out planning activities for public health services to be
provided in the region. He worked as Respiratory Diseases Unit Manager and
Legionnaires' Disease Control Programme Manager within the Department of
Communicable Diseases and Early Warning of the General Directorate of Public
Health. Since 2024 December, he has been working as an Assistant Professor at
Ankara University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Public Health.
He
has published nearly 100 papers on Public Health, Occupational and
Environmental Health and Biocidal topics. He is the Secretary of the Scientific
Committee on Rural Health of the International Commission on Occupational
Health (ICOH). He is a member of the Ministry of Health's Legionnaires' Disease
Scientific Advisory Board. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the
Biocidal Occupational and Environmental Health Association of Türkiye. He is
fluent in English.
