Biography

He completed his higher education in the Department of Physics Education, Faculty of Education, Gazi University. He obtained his doctoral degree in Nuclear Physics from the University of Liverpool in England.Between 2014 and 2022, he worked in the Department of Physics at the Faculty of Science, Ege University. Between 2016 and 2017, he worked as a researcher at the Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare—INFN Legnaro in Italy. As of July 2022, he began working as an Associate Professor at the Institute of Nuclear Sciences at Ankara University. According to Article 38 of the Higher Education Law No. 2547, between March 2023 and December 2024, he served as the Head of the Nuclear Energy Research Institute (formerly known as the Turkish Atomic Energy Authority, or TAEK) within the Turkey Energy, Nuclear, and Mineral Research Institution (TENMAK), as the Head of Accelerator and Irradiation Technologies Department between March 2023 and April 2024, and as the Head of Radioactive Waste Management Department between May 2024 and November 2024. During his tenure at TENMAK, he served on behalf of Turkey as a member of the CERN Finance Committee, a member of the SESAME Finance Committee, an advisor to the SESAME Turkish delegation, and a member of the SESAME Turkish delegation. His academic work focuses on the structure of exotic nuclei produced using heavy fusion reactions and on detector systems that identify the decays of these nuclei.
