Afroza Parvin is a Foreign Academic Staff in Ankara University, Faculty of Applied Sciences, Department of Real Estate Development and Management, Ankara, Türkiye. Her main affiliation is - Professor of Architecture at Khulna University, where she previously served as Dean of the School of Science, Engineering and Technology and as Head of the Architecture Discipline. She is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA), UK. Afroza earned her Bachelor of Architecture from Khulna University, followed by an MSc in Urban Planning and a PhD in Urban Design from The University of Hong Kong. She has been a Commonwealth Academic Fellow hosted by University College London and a Fulbright Visiting Research Scholar at The University of Texas at Austin. Her research interests encompass urban and rural settlement planning, vernacular habitat and culture, resilient housing and real estate, disaster-adaptive built environment, informal settlement upgrading, space syntax analysis, and context-sensitive leadership, curriculum, and pedagogy in higher education. She currently leads two multidisciplinary research clusters within the Architecture Discipline at Khulna University: Climate Change and Resilient Human Settlements Research Cluster; and Advanced Spatial Analysis Research Cluster.
