Özet:

Bu çalışma Türkiye'de çevreciliğin gelişim süreçlerine ve bu süreçler boyunca çevre örgütlenmeleri tarafından üretilen çevre söylemlerinin analizine odaklanmaktadır. Türkiye'deki çevre örgütlenmelerinin ürettiği çevrecilik söylemlerinin sahip olduğu nitelikler, çevreciliğin toplumsal etki gücünü belirlemekte ve toplumsal bir hareket olarak toplumun çevre ve doğayla kuracağı ilişkiyi önemli ölçüde etkilemektedir. Bu bağlamda, tez çevre örgütlenmelerinin ürettiği söylemlerin toplum ile çevre arasında kurulan ilişkinin niteliklerini nasıl belirlediğine odaklanmaktadır. Çalışma, çevre ve toplum arasındaki ilişkinin söylemsel olarak kurulmasına dört farklı boyuttan yaklaşmakta ve bunların birbirleriyle olan ilişkisine de odaklanmaktadır. İlk olarak çevreciliğin felsefi arka planı incelenmiş̧, bu felsefi arka planla Türkiye'deki çevrecilik örgütlenmelerinin söylemleri arasındaki ilişki tartışılmıştır. Araştırmanın ikinci boyutunu çevre ve siyaset arsındaki ilişki oluşturmaktadır. Bir taraftan siyasetin kendi söylemleri, diğer taraftan çevreciliğin kendi içinde oluşturduğu siyasal söylemler analiz edilmiş ve çevreciliğin hangi siyasal ilke ve perspektiflerle kendi siyasetini kurduğu incelenmiştir. Daha sonra çevreciliğin ekonomi ve ekonomi söylemiyle kurduğu ilişki tartışılmış̧ ve bu ekonomi söyleminin çevrecilik söylemelerinde nasıl biçimlendiği araştırılmıştır. Son olarak çevrecilik söylemlerinde toplumsal olarak nasıl bir gelecek tahayyül edildiği söylemsel bağlamda çözümlenmiş ve çevre örgütlenmelerinin geleceğin toplumunu oluşturmada hangi noktalarda sorumluluk üstlendikleri araştırılmıştır. Anahtar Sözcükler: Söylem, Çevrecilik, Çevreci Söylem, Çevre Hareketleri, Türkiye'de Çevrecilik This study aims to investigate the developmental processes of environmentalism in Turkey and the environmental discourses produced by the environmental organizations with reference to the progress of environmentalism. The characteristics of environmental discourses produced by those organizations have a significant role on determining the impacts of environmentalism as a social movement and on the relationship of society with environment and nature. Therefore, the study focuses on how environmental discourses constructed by environmental organizations establish the dynamics of the relationship between society and environment. The study approaches the discursive construction of the relationship between society and environment by highlighting four different dimensions and aims to explore how those dimensions reciprocally relate. First, the philosophical background of environmentalism along with the interaction between the philosophical background and discourses of the environmental organizations in Turkey have been explored. Second dimension has covered the relationship between environment and politics. The discourses produced by politics itself and the political discourses produced by environmental organizations have been closely analyzed. The study elaborates on how environmentalism has constructed its own politics and principles vis-a-vis its relationship with politics. Third, the relation constructed between environmentalism and the discourses of economy have been discussed. Finally, the study has reflected on how the discourses of environmentalism have socially imagined a future and at what points the environmental organizations have assumed responsibility in forming the society of the future.
