Özet:Atom Kuramı, evrende var olan tüm varlıkların atom adı verilen küçük parçacıkların biraraya gelmesiyle oluştuğunu savunur ve bu parçacıkların özelliklerini, birbirleriyle olan ilişkilerini inceler. Bu kuram, yazılı tarih boyunca insanoğlunun evreni ve yaradılışı anlama çabasının somut bir tarihçesi gibidir. Atom sözcüğü Yunanca bölünemeyen anlamına gelir. Antik çağlardan günümüze kadar hem felsefe hem de doğa bilimleri açısından çok tartışılan bir konu olmuş ve köken olarak daima Antik Yunan gösterilmiştir. Ancak inancımız odur ki, Antik Hintte atomcu düşünce hem tarihsel, hem de kavramsal boyutta çok daha eski eski bir geçmişe sahiptir. Tezimizde hem bu tarihsel öncüllüğü, hem de Antik Hintte ve Antik Yunanda atomcu düşünceyi inceledik. Günümüzde atom, bir enerji ve güç kaynağı olarak, antik dönemlerden çok daha fazla önemli hale gelmiştir. Atom kuramının daha iyi anlaşılabilmesi için tezimizde modern atom kuramı ve atomun gündelik yaşama yansımasına da yer verdik.Abstract The atomic theory claims that every single being in universe are formed by small particles called the 'atom' and studies the specifications of these particles and the relations between each of them. This theory is just like a concrete history of the efforts of the human beings trying to understand the universe and the existence. The word atom means 'undividable' in Greek. It has been a subject that has been widely discussed in both philosophy and nature sciences grounds since the ancient times, and the roots of it have always been claimed to be Ancient Greek. However we believe that the atomic theory has a much older history and concept in the ancient India. This thesis both focuses on the historical priority of the atomic theory and looks through the theory in ancient India and ancient Greek. Atom, as a source of energy and power, has become a much more important issue at the present time compared to the ancient times. In order to be able to obtain a better perception of this theory we have studied the modern atomic theory and it's reflections on the daily life in a subtitle.
