Özet:Hermeuetik birçok farklı disiplinde ve felsefe tarihinde de kendine yer bulmuş, pek çok filozof tarafından, farklı açılardan incelenmiş önemli bir kuramdır. Bu eşsiz teorilerden birinin sahibi de filozof Paul Ricoeur’dür. Pek çok farklı alanda çalışmış olan ve bu çeşitli disiplinlerarası felsefesi ile tanınan Ricoeur, hermeneutiği bu farklı alanlarla ilişkilendirmiştir. Bahsedilen alanlardan birisi olarak metaforun hermeneutik kuramdaki yerinin gösterilmesi bu çalışmanın temel amacıdır. Tezin ilk bölümü, Ricoer felsefesinin genel hatlarının belirlenmesi ve yorumun kuramsallaşması olarak hermeneutiğin geçirmiş olduğu dönemler hakkındadır. Bu bölümde, Ricoeur’ü kendi teorisini geliştirmesi yönünden etkilemiş filozoflardan F. Schleiermacher, W.Dilthey ve H.G. Gadamer’in hermeneutiğe dair görüşlerine ve bu bağlamlarda Ricoeur’ün birtakım eleştirilerine yer verilmiştir. İkinci bölüm, metafor kavramına ayrılmıştır, metaforu tanımak ve anlamak üzerinedir. Metaforun dil felsefesi içerisindeki yerinin konumlandırılması, benzer terimlerden farkları hakkında düşünülmüş, Ricoeur’ün metafor kuramındaki izleri görebilmek adına Aristoteles, I. A. Richards, M. Black, F. Nietzsche, G. Lakoff gibi filozof ve düşünürlerin metafor kuramları incelenmiştir. Son bölüm, ilk iki bölümün aydınlattığı yol düzleminde, Ricoeur’ün söylem temelli hermeneutiğinin ve canlı metaforunun açıklaması ve aralarındaki ilişkinin gösterilmesidir.AstractHermeneutics is a comprehensive theory that finds its place in various disciplines including history of philosophy. Many philosophers with different points of view in philosophy studied on the subject. One of these unique theories belongs to philosopher Paul Ricoeur. Ricoeur has worked on several fields, which made him known for his diverse interdisciplinary philosophy. He linked hermeneutics with these study fields, one of them is metaphor and metaphor’s place in hermeneutic theory constitutes the main focus of this study. First section of thesis defines main frames of Ricoeur’s philosophy and explains hermeneutics’ stages as it becomes a theory of interpretation. This section includes hermeneutic theories of philosophers that contributed Ricoeur as he develops his own hermeneutics, F. Schleiermacher, W. Dithey and H.G. Gadamer and along the way some of Ricoeur’s thoughts of those theories. Second section belongs to metaphor as concept and it aims to identify and understand it. Metaphor’s place in linguistic philosophy and its distinction from similar terms has been discussed. In order to get a better grasp on influences of Ricoeur’s theory of metaphor, works of Aristoteles, I.A. Richards, M. Black, F. Nietzsche and G. Lakoff’s thoughts on metaphor have been analysed. The last section is an explanation of Ricoeur’s discourse-based hermeneutics and living metaphor and their relations, in light of the knowledge of first two sections.
