Özet:Bu araştırmanın temel amacı, lise öğrencilerinin alan seçimini etkileyen faktörleri belirlemektir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu, 2009 - 2010 eğitim-öğretim yılında Ankara ili sınırları içerisindeki Çankaya, Altındağ ve Mamak ilçelerinde öğrenim gören lise öğrencilerinden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu, Altındağ, Mamak ve Çankaya ilçelerinde bulunan devlet liselerini temsilen, her bir ilçeden tesadüfî olarak seçilen bir devlet lisesi olmak üzere toplam üç lisede (Sancak Lisesi, Suzan-Mehmet Gönç Lisesi ve Ahmet Yesevi Lisesi) öğrenim gören 10.sınıf öğrencilerinden oluşmaktadır.Araştırmada öğrencilerin demografik özellikleri hakkında bilgi toplamak için “Kişisel Bilgi Formu”, alan seçimini etkileyen faktörleri belirlemek için ise “Alan Seçimini Etkileyen Faktörler Ölçeği” geliştirilmiş ve uygulanmıştır.Araştırma bulgularına göre, fen bilimleri alanını seçen öğrencilerin diğer alanları seçen öğrencilere göre mesleki beklentilerini daha fazla dikkate aldıkları; erkeklerin alan seçiminde dışsal yönlendirmeler ve mesleki beklentileri, kızların ise mesleki uygunluğu daha fazla dikkate aldıkları belirlenmiştir. Bulgular, mesleki uygunluk ve mesleki beklentileri daha fazla dikkate alarak alan seçimi yapan öğrencilerin diğer öğrencilere göre bu seçimlerinden daha fazla memnun kaldıklarını göstermektedir. Bulgular ayrıca, aile geliri 5000 TL ve üzeri olanların, aile geliri 1501-3000TL arası olan öğrencilere oranla alan seçerken dışsal yönlendirmelerin etkisinde daha az kaldıklarını, orta SED’e ait öğrencilerin ise diğer iki SED’e göre daha fazla dışsal yönlendirmelerin etkisinde kaldıklarını ortaya koymaktadır.AbstractThe main purpose of this study, to determine the factors influencing field selection of high school students. The study group, 2009 - 2010 academic year, is composed of high school students studying in Altındağ, Mamak and Çankaya districts in the province of Ankara. The study group is composed of students studying in Grade 10 in the state high schools(Sancak High School, Suzan-Mehmet Gönç High School and Ahmet Yesevi High School) representing the state of each school district, including a total of three randomly selected high school.For gathering information about students' demographic characteristics of the study, "Personal Information Form" is developed and implemented, for determining the factors that influencing the field selection" Factors Affecting Field Selection Scale" is developed and implemented.According to the findings, students who select the other areas of science by students who selects to field more professional expectations taken into account, the selection of external guidance and professional expectations of boys, the girls were taken into account more than the occupational suitability. Findings, occupational suitability and occupational expectations, taking into account the choice of more and more students compared to other students who indicate that they were more than satisfied with the selections. The results also 5000 TL and above those of family income, family income between 1501-3000 TL compared with students who are less than they were under the influence when choosing external redirects the middle of SED' students than the other two shows they were under the influence of external routes.
