Özet:Gazetecilik çalışmasında mobil cihazların kullanılması, gazeteciler ve alimler arasındaki en ilginç tartışma merkezlerinden biri haline geldi. Mobil cihaz, haber odasına ve raporlama uygulamasına etki eden yeni teknolojik araçtır. Bu konu farklı ülkelerde ve farklı medya kanallarında araştırılmıştır. Aslında gazetecilik ekiplerini,cihazları kullanma konusunda hikayenin gazetecilik kapsamı için eğitmeye başladılar. Mobil cihaz kullanımının araştırılması, batı ülkelerinde mevcut ve değerli olabilir, velikin Orta Doğu tarafında çok fazla bilgi ve araştırma eksikliği oluşmaktadır. Bu tez, mobil cihazın değerinden ve Irak'ta bir örnek olay incelemesi olarak ne kadar gerekli olduğunu araştırmaya çalışan mobil gazeteciliğin yaratılmasından söz etmektedir.İçerik olarak Mojo kavramının teorik arka planını ve bununla ilgili literatür taramasını sunmaktadır. Öte yandan, tez çevrimiçi anket ve toplanan Irak gazetecileri ile yapılan yüz yüze görüşmeler yoluyla derlenen değerli bir birincil veri sunmaktadır. Yapılan nitel araştırmanın sonuçları, Irak'taki mobil gazeteciliğin Orta Doğu ülkesi olarak önemi ve gazetecilerin mobil cihaz ve teknolojiden nasıl faydalandığını açıklayan bir çatışma bölgesi hakkında fikir vermektedir. Cep telefonu, muhabirlerin kullanımı ile Irak gibi devletlerin gelişimi arasındaki ilişkiyi açıklayan kalkınma teorisini içine alan ilgili farklı görüşlerden bahsetmektedir. Bu tezin amacı, mobil cihazın bir Orta Doğu ülkesinde nasıl bulunduğunu , konu hakkındaki önemli bir verinin sunumuyla vaka çalışmasının özgüllüğü ile ilgili farklı yönleri nasıl bulundurduğunu anlamaya çalışmak olarak görülebilir The use of the mobile devices i the journalistic work became one of the most interesting centres of debate between journalists and scholars. The mobile device is the new technological tool that invaded the newsroom and the reporting practice. This issue was investigated in different countries and different media channels; they in fact started to train their journalistic teams on the way to use mobile devices for journalistic coverage of the story. The investigation of the mobile device use may be valuable and present when related to western countries but we can see a huge lack of information and research in the Middle Eastern side. This thesis starts by mentioning the value of the mobile device and the creation of the mobile journalism trying to investigate how it is necessary in Iraq as a case study. This work presents the theoretical background of the Mojo concept and the literature review related to it. In the other hand, the dissertation presents also a valuable primary data collected through online survey and face to face interviews conducted with Iraqi journalists. The results of the conducted qualitative research gave insights on the importance of the mobile journalism in Iraq as a Middle Eastern country and a conflict zone explaining how journalists took advantage of the mobile device and technology. Different other opinions related to the development theory were mentioned explaining the relation between the use of the mobile journalism and the development of states such as Iraq. This thesis could be seen as a try to understand how the mobile device is present in a middle eastern country and how it has different aspects related to the specificity of the case study by the presentation of an important data on the subject.
