Özet:

Tez, "giriş, üç bölüm ve sonuç"tan oluşmaktadır. Girişte tezin konusu hakkında kısa bir bilgi verilmiştir. Birinci bölümde Vali Nasr tarafından ortaya konulan Şii Uyanış fikri, onun yapmış olduğu tanımlamalar üzeriden işlenmiştir. Orta Doğu'da yaşanan siyasi gelişmelerin ardında var olan mezhepler ayrılıklarına değinilmiş ve bu ayrılıkların tarihsel sürecinden bahsedilmiştir. Nasr'ın Şiilerin Irak Savaşı'ndan sonra kendi güçlerinin farkına varıp değişim yapmalarının bölgede yaşayan diğer Şiileri de etkileyip ortak bir Şii kimliği altında yükselecekler düşücesinin aşamaları incelenmiştir. İknci bölümde, Nasr'ın ortaya koymuş olduğu Şii Uyanış fikrine yapılan olumlu ve olumsuz eleştiriler değerlendirilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde, Orta Doğu'da ilerleyen zamanda yaşanan gelişmelere bakılarak Şii Uyanış fikrinin ne kadar gerçeklik bulduğu incelenmiştir. Bölge ülkeleri dışında, Nasr'ın Şii Uyanış sürecinde özellikle yer verdiği Amerika Birleşik Devletleri de ayrıca yer bulmuştur. The introduction provides brief informationon the subject matter of the thesis. In the first chapter, the idea of Shia Revival by Vali Nasr was examined through the descriptions made by him. The political developments beneath the sectarian divisions that has been existent in the Middle East were mentioned and the historical course of these divisions was covered. The idea that the changes made by Shiites by realizing their own power will affect the other Shiites living in the region and they will rise under the Shia identity was analized. In the second chapter, the positive and negative criticisms pertaining to the idea of Shiite Revival that Nasr put forward were evaluated. In the third chapter, the reality of the idea of Shiite Revival was examined by looking at the developments in the Middle East. Apart from the countries of the region, the United States, where Nasr was particularly mentioned in the Shia Revival process, also took place.
