Özet:Bu tez, giriş, iki bölüm ve sonuçtan oluşmakta olup giriş bölümünde hitâbetin anlamları, diğer kelimelerle kullanımları ve bir ilim olarak hitâbetin tarihsel gelişimi hakkında bilgi verilmiştir.Birinci Bölümde, İslâm öncesi dönem olarak bilinen Câhiliyye Döneminde hitâbetten genel olarak bahsedilip, bu dönem hitâbetinin dil, üslûp, içerik açısından değerlendirmesi yapılmıştır.İkinci Bölümde, İslâmî Dönem hitâbetinden genel olarak bahsedilip, bu dönem hitâbetinin dil, üslûp, içerik açısından değerlendirmesi yapılmıştır.Sonuç Bölümünde ise, Arap Edebiyatında hitâbetin önemi, gelişimi ve daha sonraki nesir üzerinde olan etkisi saptanmıştır.AbstractThis thesis, consists of an introduction, two chapters and a conclusion. In the introduction, information has been given about lexical meanings of oratory (khaṭāba), the uses of its other words and historical development of oratory as a science.In the first chapter, the oratory in the Jahiliyya Period has been known as Pre-İslamic Period has been generally mentioned and the oratory of this period has been evaluated in terms of language, wording and content.In the second chapter, the oratory in the İslamic Period has been generally mentioned and the oratory of this period has been evaluated in terms of language, wording and content.In the conclusion, the importance of oratory in the Arabic Literature, its development and its influence on subsequent artistic prose has been determined.
