Özet:Türkiye'de tenis sporu ile ugrasan ve profesyonel anlamda ilerlemek için çalısan sporcuların tenis sporuna baslama nedenleri ve bu spor dalından beklentilerinin belirlenmesi bu arastırmanın amacını olusturmaktadır. Arastırma evrenini, ülkemizde ulusal kategoride yarısmacı olan ve 14-16 yas kategorisinde yer alan yaklasık 400 tenis sporcusu olusturmaktadır. Arastırmanın örneklemi ise Türkiye Tenis Federasyonu sıralamasından rasgele seçilen 14-16 yas grubu sporcularından toplam 100 (kadın?erkek) oyuncudan olusan sporcu ile sınırlandırılmıstır. Bu çalısma için detayları asagıda verilmis olan gruplara anketler uygulanmıstır. a. 12-16 Haziran ,2006 / 16 Yas - zmir Yaz Kupası b. 5-9 Temmuz, 2006 / 14 Yas - Zonguldak Yaz Kupası c. 28 Agustos- 3 Eylül, 2006 / 16 Yas- zmir Türkiye Sampiyonası d. 4-10 Eylül ,2006 / 14 Yas-Antalya - Türkiye Tenis sampiyonası Bu arastırmada kullanılmıs olan anket 3 bölümden olusmustur. 1- Tenis sporunu seçme nedenleri 2- Tenis sporu ile profesyonel olarak ugrasma nedenleri 3- Tenis sporundan beklentiler Anketlerden elde edilen veriler kullanılarak frekans , yüzde ve aritmetik ortalama dagılımları hesaplanmıstır.yapılan anketlerden elde edilen verilerin degerlendirilmesinde özel bir istatistik paket program seçilmistir. Bu program içinde t-testi bulunmaktadır. Yine anketlerden elde edilen verilerle iç tutarlılık güvenilirlik sayısı = , .89 olarak hesaplanmıstır. Bu çalısmanın sonucunda tenis sporuna yönelmenin en önemli nedenleri olarak; 1- Aile 2- Milli takım sporcusu olma istegi 3- Begenilen bir oyuncu olma istegi 4- Dünyaca ünlü bir sporcu olma istegi söylenebilir. Tenis sporu ile profesyonel olarak ugrasma nedenleri; 1-Tenis sporunu sevme 2-Farklı ülkeleri görme istegi 3-Basarı kazanmaktan zevk alma 4-Mutlulugu bu sporda yakalamak Ve son olarak yukarıda bahsedilen çalısmaya göre oyuncuların tenis sporundan beklentilerini asagıdaki gibi özetleyebiliriz; 1- Ünlü bir tenisçi olmak 2- Yurtdısındaki üniversitelerden burs almaktır. Abstract The aim of this study is to define the expectations and the reasons to play tennis as a profession and to improve the skills of the tenis players in Turkey. The research constitutes nearly 400 competitors who are in 14-16 years category and have been players in national category in Turkey. The sample group is 100 in total ( both girls and boys ). They had been choosen randomly from the list of Turkish Tenis Federation. The questionnaire was applied to the tennis players with the details given below; 1- 12-16 th. June , 2006 / 16 years - zmir Summer Cup 2- 5-9 th. July, 2006 / 14 years - Zonguldak Summer Cup 3- 28 th August- 3 th September, 2006 / 16 years- zmir Turkish Championship 4- 4-10 th September ,2006 / 14 years-Antalya ? Turkish Tennis Championship. The questionnaire of this study consist of three parts: 1- The reasons for choosing tennis 2- The reasons choosing tennis as a profession 3- The expectations from tennis. The frequency, the percentages and the arithmetical mean value were calculated by the use of data recevied from the questionnaire. The method used in eveluating the answers received from the tennis players is t-test. A certain statistical programme that includes t-test was choosen. The ( = the internal consistency safetly factor ) was calculated as .89 from the data gotten from the questionnaire. As a result of this study it could be said that the important factors encouraging the tennis are ; 1- Family 2- to play in the national team 3- to become a popular player 4- to become a famous player in the world. The reasons for choosing tennis as a profession are listed as below; 1- to be love tennis 2- to see diffrent countries 3- to get pleasure in having success 4- to catch the happiness and finally according the above mentioned study we couıd say that the expectations of the players from tennis could be summarised as; 1- to be a famous tennis player 2- to be able to get the scholarship of the universities in abroad.
