Özet:

Within the scope of this study, Islam and Muslims in Holland, the establishment and\r\ninstitutionalisation of mosques, appointment of religious affairs officers and religious services\r\nvia Turkey is examined and a theoretical baseline in the frame of services in the mosques and\r\nthe role of religious affairs officers is constructed. In addition, these services and religious\r\nofficers’ performance in terms of meeting the expectations is studied.\r\nThe quality of religious services offered in mosques in terms of meeting the\r\nexpectations in Holland and adequacy of governmental religious officers have been examined\r\nand identified by conducting surveys on religious officers and the community attending to the\r\nmosques which are also branches of Holland Religious Affairs Foundation (Hollanda Diyanet\r\nVakfı). In the study, one questionnaire with 34 questions has been prepared for the\r\naforementioned religious officers. Another questionnaire with 34 questions is prepared for the\r\nmosque community which have been selected as a sample group from 20 mosque as 800\r\npeople. In order to support the quantitative data with qualitative data, semi structured\r\nconsultation have been prepared for the religious officers and mosque community as well.\r\nPrior the survey, a pilot application has been conducted to determine the comprehensibility of\r\nthe questions and the parts that need focusing in the questionnaire form.\r\nThe range of the study is the 143 mosque belonging to Holland Religious Affairs\r\nFoundation and all the religious officers. Sampling is made among 20 mosque and 98\r\nreligious officers who were in duty between October 2008 and December 2008.\r\nAnalysis of the data was made according to SPSS technique, odd-factor variance\r\nanalysis test and Pearson Correlation test.
