Özet:Bu çalışmanın amacı, Ankara ilinde sağlık hizmetleri alanında eğitim veren birortaöğretim kurumunda yürütülen “Yaşlı ve Hasta Hizmetleri” kursunu eğitici vekursiyer görüşlerine göre değerlendirmek, ön test ve son test olarak toplanan verileregöre, verilen eğitimin yaşlı bakımı bilgi düzeyine etkisini ölçmekti.Çalışmada, sağlık hizmetleri alanında eğitim veren bir ortaöğretim kurumundaaçılan yaşlı ve hasta hizmetleri kursuna katılan yetişkinler ve eğitim veren eğiticilerlebir karma araştırma gerçekleştirildi. Görüşme kursa devam eden 14 kursiyer vekurumda çalışan 3 eğitici ile yapıldı. Yaşlı ve hasta bakımı bilgi düzeyi testi analizaşamasında ön test ve son test sonuçlarına ulaşılabilen 8 kursiyerin test sonuçlarıkullanıldı.Araştırma için gerekli veriler, kursiyerler ve eğiticiler için ayrı ayrı geliştirilen yarıyapılandırılmış “derinlemesine görüşme formu” ve “yaşlı ve hasta bakımı bilgi düzeyitesti” ile toplandı. Toplanan verilerin analizi için betimsel analiz ve Wilcoxon işaretlisıralar testi analiz yöntemleri kullanıldı.Araştırma sonuçları göstermektedir ki, öğretim programı kaynaklı sorunlar,kursiyerlerin katılım engelleri ve eğiticilerin yetişkin eğitimini uygulamada karşılaştığıvisorunlar bulunmaktadır. Diğer taraftan, verilen eğitim katılımcıların yaşlı ve hastabakımı bilgi düzeyini artırmada etkilidir.AbstarctThe purpose of this study was to evaluate the “Sick and Elderly Services” coursewhich was conducted at a health services secondary school in Ankara according to theview of the trainers and trainees and to measure the effect of education on sick andelderly care knowledge according to the data gathered with pre test and post test.In this study, a mixed research was conducted with the adults who attended thesick and elderly services course which was arranged at a secondary school providingeducation in the field of health services and the trainers who were working at thisschool. The interview was held with 14 trainees and 3 trainers. In the analysis phase ofthe sick and elderly care knowledge test, the test results of the 8 trainees, whose bothpre test and post test results were reached, were used.The data which was necessary for the research was gathered with a semistructured“in-depth interview form” developed separately for the trainees and thetrainers and the “sick and elderly care knowledge test”. Descriptive analysis andviiiWilcoxon signed rank test analysis methods were used for the analysis of the gathereddata.The research results demonsrate that there are curriculum-induced problems,barriers to the participation of trainees and the difficulties faced by the trainers whileapplying adult education. On the other hand, the applied education is effective inincreasing the trainees’ knowledge level of sick and elderly care.
