Özet:ÖZET EMEVİLER DÖNEMİ KADININ DURUMUNA GENEL BİR BAKIŞ SÜKEYNE BiNT HÜSEYİN ÖRNEĞİ Emeviler döneminde İslam toplumu; dini, coğrafi, kültürel, etnik ve ekonomik yönden büyük değişikliklere uğramıştır. Dolayısıyla buna bağlı olarak sosyal ve gündelik hayat eski birtakım özelliklerini muhafaza etmekle beraber, gözle görünür bir değişiklik yaşamıştır. Sosyal hayatta yaşanan bu değişiklikler toplumun her kesimini belirli oranlarda etkilemiştir. Toplumun yarısını oluşturan kadınlar da bu durumdan en fazla etkilenenler arasında olmuştur. Emeviler döneminde kadın, yavaş yavaş Asr-ı Saadet ve Hulefa-i Raşidin dönemindeki konumundan uzaklaşıp cahiliyeye geri dönüş göstermektedir. Cahiliye döneminde olduğu gibi kadın, bu dönemde de iki sınıfı teşkil etmektedir. Bunlardan birincisi hürler, diğeri de cariyelerdir. Cariyelerin konumunda pek fazla bir değişme gözükmemektedir. Hür kadınlar arasında da yine toplumun tabakalaşmasından dolayı bir ayrımın olduğunu söyleyebiliriz. Özellikle aristokrat kesimdeki kadınların konumlarını koruduklarını, devletin üst makamında olmanın avantajından istifade ettiklerini bu bağlamda lüks bir yaşantı sürdüklerini müşahade etmekteyiz. Dönemin bu yaşantısı içerisinde kadınları eğitimi için uğraşan, onları sosyalleştirmeye, kendilerini tanımalarını sağlamaya çalışan model şahsiyetler varolmuştur. Hemcinslerinden olan bu şahsiyetlerin başında Sükeyne binti Hüseyin gelir. Bu şahsiyetler İslam tarihi kaynaklarında bazı yönleriyle ele alınmıştır fakat; bu konuda geniş araştırmalar bulunmamaktadır. Bu şahsiyetlerin Emevi toplumundaki ve genel olarak İslam tarihindeki rollerinin sağlıklı bir şekilde bilimsel bir yaklaşımla 82 araştırılması, dönemin kadınlarının, sosyal yaşamın ve diğer yaşam biçimlerinin doğru anlaşılmasına imkan sağlayacağı düşüncesindeyiz. Bu çalışmada Sükeyne bint Hüseyin’in gerçekte kim olduğu, düşünceleri, yaşadığı dönem ve bu döneme etkileri araştırılmıştır. Konunun daha iyi anlaşılması için tarihsel olayların birliği bütünlüğü ilkesinin zorunlu kıldığı kadarıyla Emeviler öncesi İslam toplumunda kadın hakkında özet ve genel bilgiler verilmiştir. Bu çerçeve doğrultusunda, Emeviler dönemi kadının durumunu genel olarak araştırıp, bu dönemin ünlü kadın siması olan Sükeyne bint Hüseyin’in hayatı, yaşadığı dönem, bu döneme etkileri ve etkinlik alanları belirtilmiş ve genel olarak bu şahsiyet ile döneme ait bazı bilgiler ortaya konmuştur. ABSTRACT IN UMAYYAD PERİOD GENERAL OVERVİEW FOR THE STATUS OF WOMEN, THE EXAMPLE OF SUKEYNE BINTI HUSSEIN The Umayyad period, Islamic societies had undergone great changes in terms of ethnic (race, religion and culture), geographical and also economic aspects. Thus, the social and everyday life keep some old features, but had had an outstanding change. These changes occurred in the social life had affected every sector of society to some extent. Women who constituted half of society had also been among the most affected from this situation. Women in the Umayyad period had gradually gone away from their position of the Golden Age and Hulefa-i Rashid period and showed a return to ignorance. As women in the period of ignorance, in this period also represented the two-class. The first of these were free and the other ones were the concubines. It doesn’t seem many changes in the position of concubines.We can also say that there was a discrimination among the free women due to the stratification of the society. Particularly we observe that the women in the aristocratic section retained their positions, were benefiting from the advantages of being in the top authority of the state and in this context they were leading a luxury life. In this period of life,there had existed some figures struggling for women’s education, trying to socialize them,and trying to get to know themselves.Sükeyne binti Hussein, who was of the same sex come first of these figures. This figure has been taken in some aspects in Islamic history sources, but there haven’t been existed detailed researches about this issue.To be searched of this figure’ roles in Umayyad society and in general in the Islamıc history in a 84 healhty way with a scientific approach will make it possible that women of the period,social life and other life styles will be properly understood,we think. In this study, who really Sükeyne binti Hussein is,her thoughts, the period they lived in and her influences on this period were investigated. . For a better understanding of the issue, a summary and general information about women in Islamic socety prior to Umayyad have been given as required of the integrity of the principle of unity of the historical events. In this framework, we specified in Ummayad period general of overview fort he statüs of the women and the prominent female figure life of the Ummayad period , the Sükeyne binti Hussein, the period she lived in, effects and the fields she affected and in general, this figure has been out with some information for the period
