Özet:Zaman tarihinin başından beri filozofların üzerine fikir yürüttükleri bir konudur. Zaman felsefi sistemlerin içinde temel konulardan biri olarak ele alınmıştır. Filozofların zamanı nasıl değerlendirdikleri onların, madde, âlem, ilk neden, varlık, irade ve özgürlük gibi konulardaki fikirleriyle bir ilişki içerisindedir. Zaman felsefesi başlangıcından bu yana varlığı, öznel mi nesnel mi olduğu, kipli mi kipsiz mi olduğu, uzayla ayrı mı birlikte mi olduğu, ezelî mi yaratılmış mı olduğu gibi yönleriyle ele alınmıştır. Zaman hakkında İslam filozofları da görüşlerini bildirmişlerdir. Gazzâlî de bu konuya eserlerinde yer vermiştir. Ona göre zaman hareketin öncelik ve sonralık bakımından ölçülmesine yarayan, yaratılmış, ezelî olmayan bir şeydir. Bu tezde Gazzâlî'nin zaman hakkındaki görüşlerinin İslam filozofları ve zamanın serileri bakımından bir incelemesi sunulmuştur. Anahtar kelimeler: zaman, zaman felsefesi, zaman serileri, Gazzâli Time is a subject which has been occupying philosophers since the beginnings of history. Time has been considered to be one of the main subjects within the philosophical systems. How philosophers perceived the time has been in connection with how also they think about the problems of substance, world, will, and freedom. Philosophy of time has been discussing existence in terms of whether it is subjective or objective, modal or not, part of the space or not, and eternal or created. Muslim philosophers also talked about time. Gazzali is one of those who dealt with this topic in his books. For him, time measures actions in terms of their coming before or after something. He also thinks time is not eternal but created. In this thesis, I will present Gazali's ideas on time and how they relate to time series as well as where he fits among other Muslim philosophers.
