Özet:İnsanlar yerleşik hayata geçerek, toplu yaşamaya başlamış ve yaşadıkları çevreyi istek ve ihtiyaçları doğrultusunda şekillendirmişlerdir. Doğa ve kültür arasındaki etkileşim sonucu oluşan kültürel peyzaj alanları sosyal, ekonomik ve kültürel etkilerle şekillenmiş, kültürün ve yerleşmelerin gelişim ve değişim süreçlerini anlatan dinamik çevrelerdir. Yapılan koruma çalışmaları bu kültürel miras alanlarının korunmasında yetersiz kalmakta ve bu alanları yok olma tehlikesiyle karşı karşıya getirmektedir. Kültürel peyzaj alanlarına sahip çıkılması ve sahip olduğu değerlerin ortak bellek olarak kabullenilmesi alanın özgün özellikleri ile korunmasında önemli bir konudur. Uluslararası öneme sahip kültürel peyzaj alanlarının belirlenmesi ve koruma-kullanım dengesi içinde koruma planlarının hazırlanması tarihi yerleşim alanlarının kaybolmasına engel olacaktır. Ankara'nın en eski yerleşimlerinden olan Kalecik birçok medeniyete ev sahipliği yapmış, sosyal, kültürel ve ekonomik potansiyelleri bünyesinde barındıran bir yerleşimdir. Bölgede yaşanan sosyal ve ekonomik değişimler tarihi kent merkezinde nüfusun azalması, ticari faaliyetlerin azalması, geleneksel mimarinin bozulması, kültürel mirasın yok olması gibi tehditler oluşturmaktadır. Bu çalışma kapsamında Kalecik tarihi kent merkezinin sahip olduğu tüm doğal ve kültürel peyzaj özellikleri incelenmiş ve kültürel peyzaj özellikleri saptanmıştır. Alanın sahip olduğu potansiyel ve sorunları doğrultusunda güçlü, zayıf yönleri, fırsatları ve tehditlerine ilişkin analiz yapılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler değerlendirilerek alanın mevcut potansiyelinin korunup geliştirilmesine yönelik öneriler getirilmiştir. Bununla birlikte Kalecik tarihi kent merkezi için kültürel peyzajlar rotası önerilerek, tarihi kent meydanı için peyzaj tasarım projesi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Having adopted a sedentary life and started to live in community, human beings have shaped their environment due to their desires and needs. The cultural landscape sites created by the interaction between the nature and the culture constitute dynamic environments shaped by social, economic and cultural influences which describe the processes of development and change of both the culture and the settlement patterns. However, the efforts made for the conservation thereof has remained insufficient to protect those cultural heritage sites which consequently expose those sites to the danger of extinction. Protecting those cultural landscape sites and considering their value as a collective memory are of great importance in the conservation of those sites along with their specific characteristics. The historical settlements should be prevented from disappearing by identifying the cultural landscape sites of international importance and drafting conservation plans within the balance of conservation and use. Kalecik, one of the oldest settlements in Ankara, is an area that has so far been home to many civilizations and embodies social, cultural and economic potentials. The social and economic changes being experienced in the region pose certain risks such as decline of population, decrease in commercial activities, degradation of traditional architecture, and oblivion of the cultural background in the historical city center. This study aimed to analyze all natural and cultural landscape characteristics of the historical city center of Kalecik, by identifying its cultural landscape characteristics. Also, a review was performed on the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of/for the site, in line with its potentials and problems. The data collected were reviewed, and various approaches and suggestions were brought both for the conservation and the improvement of the existing potential of the site. Besides, a a cultural route fort he historical city center cas offered as well as a landscape design Project fort he square of the settlement.
