Özet:Tarih-i Sultan Süleyman, Osmanlı devletinin en parlak dönemi olan 16. asra ait tarihî bir belgedir. Eserin müellifi Celalzâde Salih Çelebi çağının önde gelen isimleri arasında zikredilen ünlü bir fıkıh ve tarih bilginidir.Kanûnî Sultan Süleyman döneminin ilk sekiz yılında meydana gelen hadiseleri anlatan eser hakkında yakın zamana kadar elimizde tatmin edici bir bilgi mevcut değildi. Bunun en önemli nedeni, sadece varlığı bilinen eserin yurtdışında olması ve Leipzig Şehir Kütüphanesinin doğu yazmaları katalogunu hazırlayan H.O. Fleisher ile F. Delitzsch'in verdiği kısa bilgiler dışında eser hakkında herhangi bir bilgi bulunmamasıdır. Eserin Leipzig Şehir Kütüphanesinde bulunan eksiksiz nüshasını elde ederek, bu nüsha ile Türkiye'de bulunan nüshaları karşılaştırdık ve bu tez çalışması ile söz konusu eseri araştırmacıların hizmetine sunmuş bulunuyoruz.Tez, Giriş, üç bölümden, eserin yazma nüshalarından çeşitli örnekleri içeren eklerden ekler ve bibliyografyadan oluşmaktadır.Giriş kısmında, araştırma ile ilgili, teknik bilgiler verilmiş, konunun önemine, amacına, yöntem ve kaynaklara kısaca değinilerek çalışmanın kavramsal çerçevesi çizilmiştir.Birinci bölüm Celalzâde Salih Çelebi'nin hayatı ve eserlerini içermektedir.İkinci bölümde özet olarak Tarih-i Sultan Süleyman'ın yazıldığı dönemin karakteristik özellikleri açıkladıktan sonra, eserin aslı ve çeşitli yazma nüshaları inceledik. Bu incelemede eserin, ele aldığı tarihî hadiselerle ilgili olarak ortaya koymuş olduğu yeni bazı hususları özellikle vurguladık.Üçüncü bölümde, üzerinde çalıştığımız Tarih-i Sultan Süleyman'ın metnine yer verdik.Ekler bölümünde yazmalardan tanıtıcı örnekler verilmiş, sonuç kısmında ise tezimizde ulaştığımız sonuçlar aktarılmıştır.AbstractThe book named Tarikh al-Sultan al-Sulayman is a historical document dating from. century, the most majestic period of Ottomans, composed by a jurist and historian, Celalzâde Salih Celebi, who was considered one of the most prominent personalities at that time.Up to a short time ago, we hadn?t had sufficient information about this documental book shedding light on events which occurred in the first eight years of al-Sultan Sulayman?s reign. Because the book, known by repute only, was not in Turkey and there was not any information about it apart from what H. O. Fleisher and F. Delitzsch, who classified the catalogue of eastern manuscripts of the Leipzig City Library, gave us. We obtained that original complete version of the book from the Leipzig City Library and made comparison between that version and the ones we had already had in Turkey and we are now making this book available to researchers by this thesis.This thesis consists of an Introduction, three Chapters, an appendix of samples of some manuscripts and a bibliography. In the Introduction we give some technical information about the preparing of the thesis and express the significance of the subject, the objectives, the methods and the sources and define the conceptual skeleton of the thesis.The first chapter covers Celalizade Salih Celebi?s life and his works.In the second chapter, having cleared up the characteristics of the period in which the book was composed in brief we examine the book and different manuscript versions of it and we lay stress on new aspects of the events the book dealt with in an original way.In the third chapter, we give great place to the studied text of Tarikh al-Sultan al-Sulayman.In appendix we offer some manuscript samples of the book. And in the conclusion, we explain the results we have attained.
