Özet:Bu çalışmanın amacı Rus Ortodoks Kilisesi'nde önemli yere sahip olan azizlik inancını ve bununla ilgili uygulamaları ortaya koymaktır. Sağlam neticeye ulaşmak için azizliğin ilişkili olduğu kavramlar da incelenmiştir. Ayrıca azizliğin Rus tarih ve kültüründeki yerine de temas edilmiştir. Giriş kısmında araştırmanın amacı, metodu ve kaynakları ortaya konulmuş ve kutsal kavramı ele alınıp bu noktadan hareketle, Rus Ortodoks Kilisesi'ndeki azizlik olgusu tanımlanmaya çalışılmıştır. Ayrıca Hıristiyanlık dışı diğer dinlerde kutsal kişi anlayışı üzerinde kısaca durulmuştur.Birinci bölümde, Hıristiyanlık'ta Azizlik ana başlığı altında, Hıristiyan kutsal kitabında azizlik, Hıristiyanlık'ta azizliğin gelişim süreci ve Hıristiyan mezheplerinde azizlik konuları belirlenmeye ve incelenmeye gayret edilmiştir.İkinci bölümde ise, Rus Ortodoks Kilisesi'nde Azizlik ana başlığı altında, azizlerin Rus Ortodoks Kilisesi tarihindeki yeri, azizlikle ilgili kavramlar, azizlik çeşitleri, azizlerin fonksiyonları ve azizliğin kanonizasyon süreci konuları ortaya konulmaya ve analiz edilmeye çalışılmıştır.Üçüncü bölümde de, Rus Ortodoks Kilisesi'nde Azizliğin Tezahürleri ve Önde Gelen Azizler ana başlığı altında, azizliğin çeşitli alanlarda tezahürleri, azizlere ayrılmış özel günler ve önde gelen azizler konuları açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır.Sonuçta ise, ulaşılan neticelere yer verilmiş ve genel bir değerlendirme yapılmıştır. AbstractThe aim of this study is to present the saint belief which has an important place in the Russian Orthodox Church and the practices related with this belief. In order to reach a valid conclusion, the concepts related with sainthood have also been examined. Additionally, the role of sainthood in the Russian history and culture has been touched on. In the introduction part, the aim of the study has been presented, the concept of holy has been discussed and, from the point of view, it has been tried to define the phenomenon of sainthood in the Russian Orthodox Church. Also, the perception of sacred people in the religions other than Christianity has been emphasized briefly.In the first chapter, it has been tried to determine and examine the sainthood in the bible of Christians, the development process of sainthood in Christianity and the sainthood matters in Christian denominations under the main topic of ?Sainthood in Christianity?.In the second chapter, under the main topic of ?Sainthood in the Russian Orthodox Church?, it has been tried to present and analyze the place of saints in the history of Russian Orthodox Church, the sainthood and related concepts, the types of sainthood, the functions of saints and the canonization process of sainthood.In the third chapter, under the main topic of ?Manifestations of Sainthood in the Russian Orthodox Church and the Prominent Saints?, it has been tried to explain the manifestations of sainthood in various areas, the special days dedicated to saints and the prominent saints.In the conclusion, the outcomes have been mentioned and a general assessment has been carried out.
