Özet:Erşahin, İsmail, İngiltere’de Kamu Okullarındaki Din Öğretimi Programlarında Dini Çoğulculuk ve İslam Din Öğretimi, Doktora Tezi, Danişman: Prof. Dr. Recai Doğan, 240s.İngiltere’nin tarihi süreç içerisinde geçirdiği sosyal ve kültürel değişim sonucu yeni bir toplumsal yapı kazandığı görülmektedir. Günümüzde çokkültürlülük olarak nitelenen bu yapının, okullardaki din eğitimine etkisi ve yansımaları olmuştur. Bu sebeple İngiltere için din eğitiminin içinden geçtiği tarihi süreç, toplumsal serüven ile benzerlik göstermektedir.Araştırmada devlet okullarında uygulanan din dersi öğretim programlarında Hristiyan olmayan dinlerin öğretimi konusu İngiltere örneğinde incelenmiştir. Din dersi programlarının geçmişten günümüze çokkültürlülük bağlamında yapısal ve içerik olarak değişimi, ortaya çıkan yaklaşımlardan etkilenmesi, dinî grupların taleplerini karşılayıp karşılayamaması ve daha pek çok değişken öğretim programları bağlamında ele alınmıştır.İngiltere’de din dersi konusunda taraflar olan kilise, okul, yerel idareler ve dinî grupların program sürecinde üstlendikleri roller ve programdan talepleri, yine araştırmada üzerinde durulan konulardandır.Çokkültürlü program anlayışlarını ortaya çıkaran din eğitimi yaklaşımları, birer model olarak İngiltere’de uygulanmış ve halen de uygulanmaktadır. Bu yaklaşımların bir kısmı ihtiyaçlara cevap verip sistem içerisinde yerini korurken, özellikle geleneksel metotlar ve yöntemler bu süreçte uygulama imkanı bulamamıştır.Araştırmada genel olarak İngiliz eğitim sistemi içerisinde din eğitiminin durumu, din eğitimini bu güne taşıyan tarihi süreç, kanuni dayanaklar birinci bölümde, din dersi öğretim programları ve programlarda dinî çoğulculuk konusu ikinci bölümde ve ülkedeki Müslümanların din eğitimindeki yeri ile talepleri son bölümde ele alınmıştır.AbstractErşahin, İsmail, Religious Pluralism and Islamic Religious Education in Public Schools' Religious Education Curriculum in England, Doctorate Thesis, Advisor: Prof. Dr. Recai DOĞAN, 240p.Britain has witnessed remarkable social and cultural transitions in the last few decades which in turn gave sight into a new social structure. This structure, which named as multiculturalism, has had effects and reflections on religious education in schools. For that reason we could argue that historical process of the religious education in UK had gone through a similar path with the nation’s social advancements.The case of UK’s Non-Christian religious education is discussed in this project within the frame of religious education curriculums in public schools. In relation to this fairly new multicultural sructure the content of the religious educational programmes has been vastly effected by the new developments that is happening at the mean time. To our interpretation, as well as meeting the demands of religious groups many other questions still awaits for satisfactory responses.This piece of work also discusses the roles and expectations of the different parties in UK’s religious education, namely the state, churches, local authorities and religious groups.This relatively new trend of multiculturalism has been implemented and practiced in UK’s religious education as an approach model. Some of these approaches retain their positions in the system, meeting the needs of society. As a consequence the tradional models and approaches to religious education lost their popularity.As a sum, the position of religious education in the British educational system and its journey up until now is the interest of this project. While the first chapter is explaining the legal basis of this education, the second chapter focuses on the pluralistic framework of these curriculums. The last chapter examines the position and the demands of the Muslim community within this multicultural structure.
