Özet:

Aim: This study was planned to examine the effects of 3 dimensional printing technology education on occupational therapy students' perceived attitude and intention to use 3 dimensional printing technology.

Methods: The study was carried out in the Department of Occupational Therapy at the University of Health Sciences between 2022 and 2023. In the study, in which 84 occupational therapy undergraduate students were included, 8-week 3D printing technology training was given to 47 second-year occupational therapy undergraduate students determined as the intervention group, while 37 occupational therapy undergraduate third-year students determined as the control group were not given any training. After the theoretical training within the 8-week training, 3D printing technology and assistive device production assignment was given. The students' perceived usefulness, ease of use and attitudes towards use were evaluated with a scale based on the Technology Acceptance Model, and their before and after training were compared.

Result: When the pre- and post-intervention attitudes of the students who received 3D printing technology training were examined, the perceived usefulness of the Technology Acceptance Model scale was (p=0,004); A statistically significant difference was found in the Perceived Ease of Use (p=0,001) and Attitude to Use (p=0,021) categories (p<0.05). When the difference between the first and last evaluations of the control group was examined, no statistically significant difference was found in the Technology Acceptance Model categories (p>0.05). When the first and last evaluations of the intervention group and control groups were compared; Perceived usefulness at the post-test (p=0,001); A statistically significant difference was determined in the parameters Perceived Ease of Use (p=0.001) and Attitude to Use (p=0,001).

Conclusion: With the 3D printing technology training given to Occupational Therapy Students, significant changes were observed in the students' perceived attitudes and intentions towards technology. In particular, it has been observed that the training provided creates a medium effect size in the perceived ease of use against new technologies. It is thought that students will be able to realize the do-it-yourself model and increase the quality of the service they will provide with the new

technological training they receive in their future professional lives. It has been seen that it is possible to learn current technologies and can be integrated into the service.
