As Ankara University, we aim to collaborate with institutions across Europe in teacher training within the TAPPEO (Teacher Academy for Plurilingual Preschools. A Path Towards Equal Opportunities) Teacher Academy Project, supported by the European Commission. Six universities are among the project partners: University of Castilla-La Mancha (Project Manager) (Spain), Ankara University (Turkey), Daugavpils University (Latvia), University of Macedonia (Greece), Perugia Foreign University (Italy), and Inland University (Norway). Additionally, two teacher training organizations, Universal Learning Systems (Ireland) and Context Learning (Finland), and two schools, EuroEd School (Romania) and Platon School (Greece), are participating in the project as part of the consortium. The project also includes six other institutions as associate partners.
This collaboration aims to address the European Union's key priorities on equality, inclusion and learning in the digital world by providing teachers with in-person and distance courses, modules and other learning opportunities.
The TAPPEO Project aims to contribute to the creation of a learning environment that supports language development from early childhood by organizing teacher training programs on CLIL, immersive learning and inclusive teaching approaches, as well as creative and effective methods. The project aims to bring together prospective teachers and teachers to exchange ideas, develop together, and create a network focused on supporting children with diverse language backgrounds, particularly those from immigrant families.
