Method development and validation studies specific to chiral and achiral analytes are carried out in order to perform the most up-to-date and reliable analyses in the field of forensic sciences. Our primary goal is to develop new techniques for the analysis of particularly challenging biological samples by combining techniques from different disciplines and to apply these techniques on real samples.
Our laboratory has Agilent 1100/1200 model High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Agilent 1100 model UV detector, Agilent 1260 model Fluorescence detector and Jasco CD-4095 model Circular Dichroism detector.
On the other hand, Gas chromatography is used for the same purposes and Agilent GC/MS and Agilent Headspace GC/FID instruments are working properly.
Lastly electrochemical sensors are developed for forensic purposes by using Autolab Potentiostat with the modification oft innovative nanomaterials
Innovative sample preparation techniques are developed and used in our laboratory where many legal/illegal substances can be analysed. Solid and liquid phase microextraction techniques are used to prepare samples from biological, environmental and food samples with high accuracy and precision.
In addition, therapeutic drug monitoring and separation of enantiomers of chiral compounds are carried out in our laboratory.
