Proje Özeti

Novel traits such as HF count on an animal or individual economic injury threshold often carry a non-negligible level of measurement errors. When used in genetic evaluations, these noisy phenotypes lead to biased inferences and inaccurate estimation of breeding values. In this project, we are assessing the impact of measurement errors on genetic evaluations, and we are developing novel approaches to remove or at least attenuate the negative impact of noise in continuous dependent variables.
