Reframing Educational and Academic Leadership to Respond to Challenges in Neoliberal Higher Education- Intersectional and Gender Perspectives will be analysed at our research. WHEM network is funded by the Swedish Research Council and involves researchers in 14 countries. The aim of the network is to generate new research and drive knowledge development forward in the field of organization and management of higher education through an intersectional gender perspective. The network also serves as a platform for collaboration and exchange between researchers and practitioners and academic leaders. Academic leadership is generally an underdeveloped field in many countries and there is a particular lack of research that has used a comparative method to examine challenges and opportunities across national borders with a focus on gender equality and equal conditions. The work within the network will result in a joint book based on empirical case studies from the participating countries with contributions to theory development in the field.
