Abstract:

Bu çalışmada, Japonca işaret sözcükleri “ko, so, a” bilişsel dilbilim açısındanele alınarak, işaret sözcüklerinin bilişsel işlevlerinin betimlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Buamaç doğrultusunda, işaret sözcüklerinin her bir dizgesi, nesneyi doğrudan göstermeve bağlamı belirtme kullanımları bakımından iki bölüme ayrılmış, bu bölümlerdeişaret sözcükleri nawabari ve ima-koko tezi benimsenerek ele alınmıştır.Ayrıca bu tezde, konuşucunun uzam-zaman algısının yanı sıra dinleyicininalgısının da işaret sözcüklerinin kullanımına etkileri üzerinde durulmuştur.Sonuç olarak, kavrayış, bakış açısı, ortak dikkat gibi bilişsel öğelerin işaretsözcükleri kullanımını etkilediği söylenebilir.Abstract In this study, Japanese demonstratives “ko, so, a” will try to be evaluatedfrom the point of cognitive linguistics. For this purpose, each system of Japanesedemonstratives was subdivided into two subclasses defined as “direct pointing” and“context indication” respectively. In these subsections, demonstratives were analysedrefering to the thesis of territory and ‘here and now’.Besides, in this study, both the affects of listener’s construal and the speaker’sconstrual of space and time were analysed.As a result, it can be argued that the cognitive notions like construal,viewpoint and joint attention can influence the usage of demonstratives.
