Abstract:

Multimedia elements are an indispensable part of education to facilitate learning. With the expansion of online learning and teaching platforms, video usage is found in trainings and conferences. The information is presented both in video and audio in a fast way, so videos are supported with subtitles or partially documented videos to make it easier to understand videos. The fact that the subtitle is not presented as a list and that the document is not timed makes these tools insufficient. This requires additional explanation and editing tools. Training-based video annotations are an alternative to facilitating video analysis and avoiding intensive labor costs of manual annotation. In this study, a web-based video annotation tool has been proposed to control and report the content of educational videos. An example is psychological counseling and guidance training to test the use of the proposed tool in education. The application was developed using NodeJs, Angular, HTML5 with agile software development method. With this application, feedback was obtained from experts and candidates and the sessions were evaluated. AnnoVid's real-time work enables members to participate effectively in group work. All these annotations and comment data are kept in a special file format in the application and associated with the video and reported.
