Well acquainted with sustainable agriculture, aquaculture and bio-based economy topics, mostly related to innovative use of biotechnology in aquaculture. The alliance of a strong scientific background in the area of biosecurity and fish welfare as well as fish health. Recent focus on bioactive compounds uses in fish health. Extensively published in theoretical and experimental work, with significant expertise in fish health for the sustainability of aquaculture. Highly experienced in project and team management, strategic planning and budget management, as well as administrative domain in academia. Experience on project evaluation and peer reviewing in SCI and SCI-core index journals. A confident presenter and teacher, able to impart complex information to audiences of all levels. Activities in EU projects including Horizon2020.
